12 Days of Blessing!

Since our last post in February, the Lord has opened the windows of heaven and poured out a blessing! On March 30th. the need was very great in Migori. The drought had taken a serious toll on the water and food supply.  People and animals alike were dying and there was no means of correcting the mounting problems.  There was nothing to plant for a much needed crop that could be harvested by June. The rains were forecast to return in just days. They were down to the wire to get something in the ground.  They had no bulls to help with plowing, no seed to plant, no fertilizers (all animals died so they had no manure), no medicine to treat water borne illnesses, no clean water, no food to keep workers nourished while hand digging, and all seemed hopeless. But Then God Answered Prayer!  We put out a plea for help...many answered the need with donations. One donor even pledged to match donations! ,,,,,,,,   $10,000.00 came in over the next 12 days! A miracle...

Boniface says It is the worst he has ever seen.

Almost one third of Kenya has not seen rain for seven months! It has affected all crops and livestock. Water supplies are depleted and food is very scarce. They have had to ration water in many areas including Migori.  The situation is even worse in his dad's village of Osinga where even the contaminated water is scarce. Cholera has broken out and many are sick and dying. Boniface carries water in a container every morning by motor bike to his dad's to sustain them and the home of the elderly. Things are very difficult for the ministry at this trying time.  Yesterday Feb. 14, 2017 they were able to treat 3 elderly with cholera and save them, but this morning 2 of the villagers were not able to be helped and succumbed to their illness. Boniface is desperately asking for your help. Any amount given will help with food, water, and medicine. Please click on the link and donate today. http://migorimissions.org/donate.html

Home For the Elderly

Ministering to the elderly. Pastor Boniface's mom and dad, Hellen and Silvanus,  have become the overseers and ministers of the widows home. The elderly are being cared for and many are coming to Christ! They are doing a great work for the Lord. Look at those smiles. Truly blessed! A home for the elderly located in Osinga Village (5 miles from Migori). We have recently sealed the building with concrete to keep out mosquitoes and leeches. The insects were biting the elderly and bringing with them many illnesses. Praise the Lord for this very important improvement! Widow's receiving new blankets! A fundraiser held  August 2016 by the Bible School kids at the  Hope Community Christian Church in New Philadelphia, Ohio U.S.A. Pastors Scott & Staci Snyder,  supplied enough funds to give blankets to the elderly. The days there are warm, but it gets very damp and cool at night. What a comfort for them. Pictured left...

Orphanage Progress

Orphanage updates. Many improvements on the orphanage have been completed in 2015. Boniface and his family are now living with 26 orphans thanks to God's provision and the generosity of many supporters. Thank you everyone, and please keep this ministry in your prayers! Items completed in 2015: 1. Existing well cleaned and covered. 2. Pump and water storage tank installed. 3. Electric installed. 4. New beds for 26 orphans. 5. Temporary certificate granted for operation by the government. They are currently working on the three needed bathrooms, kitchen plumbing, and painting. Upon completion of these, they will be issued a permanent certificate which allows for the rest of the orphans to be housed there. God is good and making the way! Painting is continuing. Looking very good! New storage tank being installed at the Orphanage.
