Back to School 2021

Back to School August 2, 2021 Our orphans are back in school Pictured above are some of the orphans who were able to go back to school this past Monday! Thanks to our compassionate donors we are providing uniforms and supplies to meet their immediate needs. Some shoes are also needed but we know the Lord will make a way.   Pastor Boniface is still preaching the Word and bringing souls to Christ. He posts his live broadcasts over Facebook every Sunday from the Migori Church. He also oversees four other churches in the area, visiting with the pastors,  attending prayer meetings, and holding special services. We still have the Clinic which is staffed with a nurse who can diagnose common sicknesses such as Malaria, Typhoid, Cholera, and other common illnesses of the area. By keeping medicines on hand the orphans can be treated very quickly to avoid very costly trips to hospitals etc. We all agree it has been a very trying time this past couple of years, but the Lord will help us a...

HELPING HANDS NEEDED

Pictured above is the story of a Grandmother that walked from Wasio (6 miles) to Migori Town several times over the last few weeks to sell her produce to provide for her and her granddaughter. She confessed she had very little hope for the future and longed for death so she could finally be at rest. She was met by Christian Ministers in Migori who shared the Gospel of Jesus! She gladly accepted him into her heart and has now found new hope. Boniface is working along with other ministers in the area to help with her care.   Thank the Lord for his His Mercy and to all the ministers who are willing to be that light. Commit to a small amount each month to help with our mission to be a light to others! Updates on our ministry:      Our orphans have been home since all schools were closed in March due to Covid 19 outbreak. Boniface has been sharing the Gospel each week on Sundays over Facebook. If you are not friends with him on Facebook, se...

September 2019 Our Orphans Return to School

New Uniforms for our Orphans!      A big thank you to all who donated last Spring for new school uniforms. We were able to buy two complete uniforms for each child which allows for more efficient laundry time. This is such a blessing for the children, as the school does not permit them to mingle with the other students when out of uniform.                                   Hope Christian Community Church New Philadelphia, Ohio         Pastors Scott & Staci Snyder Your VBS August 2019 raised $1000.00 for new mattresses for our orphans!  Thank you so much! The Lord Makes A Way.....Again!

New Year Brings New Challenges! January, the orphans started their new school year with the usual expenses of school fees and supplies.  February started with very dry conditions, and our four existing shallow wells were soon showing signs of going completely dry. It became very difficult to find sources of clean water.  During this difficult month we were able to get the existing corn harvest in before the dry conditions ruined the crop. Thank you Lord!  The very dry conditions and lack of clean water caused many to became ill.  They came to our Clinic to be treated for Chlorea and other waterborne illnesses. This very quickly put a strain on our medical stock.     March soon arrived and with it the need to begin plowing and preparing our farm land for the next planting. How could we meet these challenges in such a small time frame? The Lord Makes A Way Again!      Right On Time! Our fundraiser lasted 7 da...
